Mock Marking

Stage 2 · After drafting · All units

Your draft, marked like the real thing — while you can still fix it

A practitioner marks your draft against the actual criteria for your unit and brief, AC by AC. You get honest, specific feedback as comments — so every weakness gets found by us instead of your assessor.

Feedback as comments. Never changes to your text.

This is the line that keeps a mock mark legitimate — for you and for us. We tell you where an answer misses the command verb, where evidence is thin, where structure or academic style is costing clarity. We never rewrite a sentence, supply wording, or edit your document. Every improvement is made by you, in your own words — which is exactly why the result is safe to submit.
How it Works

From draft to marked feedback in under a week

01

Submit your draft

Full drafts work best, but partial drafts are fine — tell us which questions you’ve attempted.

02

Marked against your brief

A practitioner marks each answer against the ACs and grade descriptors of your cohort’s current brief.

03

Annotated feedback returned

Margin comments throughout, plus an AC-by-AC summary of what’s working and what’s missing.

04

Revise with a checklist

Your feedback pairs with the unit’s self-marking checklist, so you can verify each fix before submitting.

What you get

The feedback your assessor would give — delivered while it's still useful

AC-by-AC summary sheet Each criterion rated: secure, borderline, or not yet evidenced — with the reason in plain English.
Margin comments throughout Specific, located feedback: where the command verb isn’t answered, where a claim needs a source, where an example needs STARL depth.
Indicative outcome An honest steer on where the draft sits — on track, borderline, or at refer risk — so you know how much revision is ahead.
Academic style notes Referencing, third-person voice, and word-count balance flagged where they’d cost you — as observations, never corrections.
Sample summary extract · 7CO03
AC 1.2Secure — critical evaluation clearly evidenced
AC 2.1Borderline — answers ‘describe’, brief asks ‘assess’
AC 3.3Not yet — no workplace example provided
AC 4.2Borderline — reflection lacks the L in STARL
ReferencingHarvard format consistent throughout
What you get

Before you book

Is getting a mock mark allowed?

Yes. Feedback on your own written work — delivered as comments identifying strengths and gaps — is standard educational practice; it’s what a good tutor does. What crosses the line is someone editing, rewriting, or producing content for a live submission, which is why we never do any of those things.

Will you proofread or fix my writing?

No. Where language is genuinely costing you clarity or marks, we’ll flag it and say why — but the rewriting is yours to do. This protects your qualification and, honestly, produces better writers.

How close is this to real marking?

We mark against the published criteria and grade descriptors for your unit’s current brief, at the standard of your level. It’s indicative rather than official — your assessor’s judgement is final — but learners consistently tell us the gaps we flag are the gaps their feedback would have named.
