Level 7 · Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management
Postgraduate-level study, with the criticality made visible
Level 7 is assessed at master's standard: sustained critical evaluation, wide sourcing, and reflection that interrogates your own assumptions. Our guidance shows what that actually looks like on the page — because 'be more critical' is feedback, not teaching.

Level 7 Advanced Diploma
Criticality, demonstrated — never dictated
At Level 7 the gap between a pass and a refer is rarely knowledge; it’s the visible quality of thinking. Our lessons model what critical evaluation looks like — challenging a framework’s evidence base, weighing competing scholarly positions, reflecting with genuine self-scrutiny — using sectors deliberately distant from live case studies. You’ll recognise the standard and reach it in your own voice; nothing here can stand in for it.

The method
Six steps in every lesson — tuned to Level 7 depth
At Advanced level the six steps run at full depth: 'critically evaluate' is unpacked against real grade descriptors, theories arrive with their academic critics attached, wider reading points to journals rather than textbooks, and STARL is extended with an assumptions-audit pass.

Common Questions
Asked by Level 7 learners
How is Level 7 marked differently?
Against postgraduate descriptors: sustained criticality, breadth and quality of sourcing, and reflexive self-awareness. Description that would pass comfortably at Level 5 will be marked as underdeveloped here — our lessons show the difference side by side.
I haven't studied academically in years. Will I cope?
This is the most common Level 7 anxiety, and it’s manageable: the writing conventions are learnable skills, not talents. The reflective-writing and academic-style modules exist precisely for returning learners — and a one-to-one session early on settles most nerves.
