The strength of scenario planning is that it allows organisations to consider a range of possible futures, rather than relying solely on historical data or assumptions. However, the weakness of this approach is that it can be time-consuming and complex, and may not provide a clear direction for workforce planning. Effective workforce planning requires a good understanding of both the internal and external factors that influence workforce needs.
